Review-Journal Sues Metro Police For Motel Fire Records

The Las Vegas Review-Journal is suing the Metropolitan Police Department to gain access to information surrounding the recent fire at the Alpine Motel Apartments.

The paper says Metro had denied records requests but is now saying it will release police radio and 911 calls and “certain portions” of body camera footage with no fees.

RJ staff also want access to statements and reports connected to the fire that killed six people, injured 13 and displaced dozens of residents.
