Rapper Eminem Releases New Video Recreating Oct. 1 Shooting

Rapper Eminem has released a new music video that recreates the October 1 shooting on the Las Vegas Strip.

Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, published a video on YouTube Thursday night for the single “Darkness” along with the unannounced new album “Music To Be Murdered By.”

In the video, Mathers’ lyrics evoke shooter Stephen Paddock while an actor portraying the gunman re-enacts the attack.

The end of the video calls for people to register to vote and “help change gun laws in America.”  Eminem has been vocal about gun violence in recent years.

The 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival mass shooting killed 58 people and injured hundreds.
