Nevada Last In States For Mental Health Services For Youths

Advocates say children in need of mental health care in Nevada have less access to services than in other states.

 

The Las Vegas Sun reports that recent annual findings by the nonprofit group Mental Health America ranked Nevada 51st among states and the District of Columbia in seven categories of youths at risk.

Factors include psychological or emotional disturbances, substance abuse, major depressive episodes and children without private insurance for treatment.
