LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas man banned from several area hotels for trying to enter guests' rooms has been arrested.

KTNV-TV reported Monday that 30-year-old Clifton Robbins is suspected in the April theft of $4,000 worth of valuables from a room at the Venetian hotel-casino.

Police say Robbins, who was previously banned from the Venetian, used the fact that he had the same first name as the registered guest to obtain a key card.

According to investigators, he took an Apple tablet and laptop, a suitcase of clothes, wallet and other items.

He faces charges of grand larceny and burglary.
