Bill To Improve Transparency In Cannabis Industry Passes Assembly

A bill that would make the names of marijuana business owners public in Nevada, cleared the state Assembly Tuesday.

The move is aimed at greater transparency in the licensing and regulation process.

An amendment to SB32, brought by the Department of Taxation, which regulates marijuana in Nevada, would make the names of marijuana business owners public, as well as the business names, and those who apply for the licenses.

The Senate will need to approve an amendment, and then the bill heads to Governor Sisolak, who is expected to sign it.
