2 More Cannabis Dispensaries Protest State's Licensing Process

Two more dispensaries have filed injunctions against the state over its licensing process.

Planet 13 and Livfree Wellness, LLC are asking a district court for an injunction to stop the processing of conditional marijuana licenses.

The court filing accuses the Nevada Department of Taxation of ignoring the law and using a process that is opaque and deceitful.

The documents allege the qualifications of the people grading the applications were sketchy and none of them had experience in the marijuana industry.

The lawsuit concludes that marijuana licenses may be worth as much as $30 million.

A previous lawsuit involving 12 dispensaries seeks a similar injunction and will get a hearing later this month.
