The Reno-Tahoe Industrial Airport has started accepting donations to help employees who are working unpaid during the ongoing partial government shutdown.
An estimated 3,400 government workers in Nevada have stopped getting a paycheck since the start of what has now become a 33-day shutdown.
Congress is at a standstill with President Donald Trump’s wall along the southern border.

On Tuesday, the airport announced it would take donated gift cards and cash to help furloughed workers buy basic necessities like food, diapers and medicine.
