Brush Fire Destroys Homes In Utah

In what is predicted to be a harsh year for wildfires in the West due to an ongoing drought, a brush fire destroyed eight homes in Moab, Utah this week.

The blaze started in a wooded area Tuesday night and quickly spread to homes over less than a square mile.

The town is primarily known as a tourist-heavy entryway to the Arches and Canyonland national parks.

Investigators have thus far ruled out natural causes as what started the fire.

Meanwhile, in Colorado’s mountains, residents have evacuated more than 1,300 houses near the Four Corners region where Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah meet.
