Poll Puts Sisolak Ahead Of Giunchigliani In Democratic Side Of Governor's Race

A new poll shows Clark County Commission Chair Steve Sisolak with a big lead over Democratic primary opponent and fellow commissioner Chris Giunchigliani.

The Nevada Independent reports Sisolak has nearly a 30 percent lead over Giunchigliani.

Forty percent of likely voters said they are still undecided.

On the Republican side, Attorney General Adam Laxalt has an even bigger lead for the primary.

He leads his closest opponent by 51 percentage points and 55 percent of Republican respondents said they would vote for Laxalt if the election were held now.

Democrats show a slight edge for the governor’s seat in a matchup between frontrunners Sisolak and Laxalt.
