Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Investigate Downtown Homicide

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say they're investigating a homicide in the downtown area.

They say a man in his late 20s was in a parking lot near Freemont Street working on his car Saturday evening when a man in his 40s came up to him.

The two men began arguing and the older man stabbed the younger man in the head.

Police say the wounded man then ran to his apartment, got a gun and shot the other man twice.

The man who was shot has died and the younger man is being treated for a stab wound at a hospital.

Police haven't released the names of the two men yet.
