Report: UNLV President Jessup Accepted Job At College In California

A report today says UNLV President Len Jessup has accepted another job at a college in California.

The Las Vegas Sun reported today Jessup has accepted a job at Claremont Graduate University, although it’s unclear what position he has taken.

This announcement comes less than two weeks after Jessup announced to the campus community that he had begun looking for opportunities elsewhere. He made that announcement amid news reports that some members of the Board of Regents had begun pressuring him out.

The Nevada System of Higher Education Chancellor Thom Reilly acknowledged that Jessup had received a negative performance evaluation in January and that a chief operating officer would be hired to address management issues.

Jessup has not spoken to the media or made a public statement since Reilly announced that hiring.
