An ethics complaint has been filed against a judge in Reno.
Washoe County Judge Chuck Weller allegedly made inappropriate remarks about a woman’s place during a meeting on domestic violence last February.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports an ethical complaint was recently filed against Weller, over comments he made when meeting with the Washoe County Domestic Violence Task Force.
The complaint alleges that Weller said women should be worried about proposed cuts to the Violence Against Women Act because he said the cuts would “put women back in their place.”
Weller said he would file a response to the complaint through his attorney.
