Lawsuit Filed Against Board Of Medical Examiners

A lawsuit has been filed against the Nevada Board of Medical Examiners, claiming incompetence and gross misconduct.

The board’s job is to look into complaints against doctors – the lawsuit claims the board would take bribes from doctors.

Lara Ward is the plaintiff in the case, and claims she was sexually harassed and then dealt backlash after trying to report the harassment internally.

Ward said she brought the complaint to the executive director of the board Edward Cousineau, who then threatened her job.

The Board of Medical Examiners issued a statement about the lawsuit, saying the complaints have been “taken seriously” and will be “dealt with fairly.”
