Therapist Appointed To Fill School Board Vacancy

Clark County School Board trustees voted Thursday on a replacement for the vacant seat on the board left by Trustee Erin Cranor.

Trustees appointed Linda Cavazos to the District G seat. Cavazos was chosen out of 10 finalists, who faced questions from the school board on district reorganization, race, and equality.

The Las Vegas Review Journal reportsCavazos said she would like to reach minority populations in District G, which is the eastern part of the Las Vegas Valley. Cavazos is a part-time therapist and won a unanimous vote from the trustees.
