Reno-area public school cafeterias might have to stop carrying its current brand of milk.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports the Washoe County School District is required by federal code to award its milk contract to the lowest bidder.

The Washoe County School Board approved a contract with Model Dairy in 2013.  However, Las Vegas-based Anderson Dairy offered the same services at a lower rate.

The price difference was $152,640, or 13 percent.
