HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — A Henderson attorney says he'll run for the southern Nevada seat held by retiring Republican Assemblyman Lynn Stewart.
Lawyer Keith Pickard announced Tuesday that he'll run as a Republican in Assembly District 22. He said he wants to help find a balance between fiscal responsibility and providing necessary services to Nevadans.
Stewart has endorsed Pickard to take his seat.
Pickard graduated from Brigham Young University and previously taught high school and owned a construction company. He attended UNLV's Boyd School of Law before becoming a founding partner at the law firm Pickard Parry Pfau.
Pickard and his wife have seven children and four grandchildren.
