Reno Lawyer Jumps Into Competitive Nevada State Senate Race

RENO, Nev. (AP) — A Reno lawyer has jumped into a competitive race for a northern Nevada Senate seat being vacated by Republican Greg Brower.

Democratic attorney Devon Reese announced Monday that he'll seek the Senate District 15 seat. Senate Democratic leaders quickly endorsed him.

Reese is expected to face former assemblywoman Heidi Gansert in the general election. Gansert previously served as Gov. Brian Sandoval's chief of staff and is endorsed by Republican leaders.
