Connie Foust Announces Run For AD 19 Seat

A political newcomer will run for a seat in Nevada State Assembly District 19.

The Mesquite Local News reports Connie Foust of Mesquite will formally announce her bid this Friday.

Foust, who according to Clark County voter records is registered as a Republican, told the newspaper she was frustrated by the number of Republicans in the state legislature who voted to raise taxes during the last legislative session.

She said she supports lower taxes and improving relations with the Clark County School District, among other policy platforms.

District 19 covers part of eastern Clark County from Mesquite south to Lake Mead, and is currently represented by Republican Chris Edwards.
