Another Major Rooftop Solar Company Says It's Leaving Nevada

The biggest residential rooftop solar company in the country is leaving Nevada.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Sunrun is closing its doors in the Silver State because of a new net metering rate adopted by the Nevada Public Utilities Commission.

Sunrun says it hopes to place its hundreds of Nevada employees in other jobs internally where it can or help them find new employment with other groups locally.

This comes after the recent announcement that SolarCity will no longer operate in Nevada, resulting in 550 layoffs.
