LAS VEGAS (AP) — A chief deputy district attorney in Las Vegas says additional charges are being considered against three men accused of leading a group of thieves that rammed several parked law enforcement vehicles with stolen cars.
Prosecutor Giancarlo Pesci said Monday that a judge scheduled a preliminary hearing Sept. 2 for brothers Hugo Carbajal and Francis Carbajal and co-defendant Edgar Medina.
Each faces dozens of felony charges including burglary, grand larceny and assault with a deadly weapon.
Police reported finding stolen guns, motorcycles, vehicles, vehicle parts and tools during raids at several locations in and around Las Vegas. Three other people were also arrested
Investigators say the spree included an April 29 ramming of a U.S. Department of the Interior K-9 vehicle and damage to a nearby home.
