Monte Carlo Will Add Theater With 5,000 Seats

MGM Resorts International announced plans today for a theater with about 5,000 seats at the Monte Carlo.

It’s intended to complement the entertainment district taking shape on the west side of the Strip with shows by top music acts, officials said. Dynamic seating will allow a variety of configurations, they said.

One result of the new theater is that Blue Man Group will move from the Monte Carlo to the Luxor this fall, pushing Jabawockeez from the Luxor to the MGM Grand. The theater is projected to open in late 2016.
