It's the ideal time to adopt! All adoption fees for large dogs (over 40 lbs) who are 6 months old and older will be waived thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation. The shelter is overflowing with dogs, so adopting now frees up space for the next one and can literally save a life. There might be a $10 licensing fee, depending on where you live.

Of course, they are also overflowing with kittens, a lot of whom are not yet adoptable and need a loving foster home to get them ready. These range in age from a few days to a few weeks. Some come their moms, most don't. More about that on their homepage.
