Kristen Kidman is the senior producer at KNPR’s State of Nevada and is proud to be from Las Vegas. 

She began her professional journalism career at 8 News Now. She then spent the next several years producing newscasts at FOX5, covering major events ranging from One October, the Bundy Ranch standoff, and the formation of the Vegas Golden Knights.

Kristen has also worked in special projects, commercial, nonprofit and government video producing. She is a three-time Emmy award winner and a Telly Award recipient. 

Kristen graduated from UNLV, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She enjoys swimming laps, cooking, and Broadway shows. She’s a mom to one son, two tortoises, and three border collies.
