Why social media is clamoring for a rescheduled rapture

A South African pastor declared the rapture was coming in September. When it didn’t happen, he said he got the date wrong, and now ample followers on social are fervently awaiting a rapture this week.

We discuss why the idea has such perennial appeal with Kim Haines-Eitzen, professor of religion at Cornell University.
