CityCenter: Teaching kids what a typewriter is

Kiddie tourists learn lots of things in Las Vegas. Where else can you score an instant architectural buffet of global cultures while also savoring your first intoxicating secret sip of daiquiri?

And they can learn about old-timey techonologies rendered in gigantic sculpture, too. Comment from a grandpa posting Vegas photos on Flickr:

Two of my grandchildren went to the new CityCenter with me and my youngest daughter. I truly felt old having to first explain what a typewriter was, before explaining the purpose of this kind of eraser. The sculpture is by Claes Oldenburg, who has made numerous giant replicas of commonplace objects.
