Hello my name is Howard Brean, I am running for Assembly District I am married with 2 children, and want to make a difference for Nevada  

Question: Last legislative session, the major initiative was a tax increase to support education in the state. What should the major accomplishment of 2017 legislature be? 

Creating a balanced budget without adding more burden onto the taxpayer while making strides to improve our communities.

Question: If recreational marijuana is legalized by voters in this state, do you want revenue from it to fund health initiatives, research and/or youth awareness campaigns?

Absolutely yes.  Just as we did with the tobacco money the same should be done with marijuana money.  Put the revenues towards education, healthcare, research..etc

Question: Many elected officials in Clark County say they’d like to see the property tax cap changed – that its time because tax revenues aren’t meeting budgets. Is that an idea you want to see the legislature tackle? 

Yes, we need to find a more fair and sustainable way to tax property so that we can continue to help our families, children, veterans, etc..

Question:  Do you support the construction of a taxpayer-funded NFL stadium? 

No, if a team wants to come to Las Vegas that team team needs to take on the burden of the expense, not the taxpayer or the tourist.
