What's out there? Las Vegas reporter investigates UFOs in new Netflix docuseries

More than 30 years ago, a Las Vegas TV reporter did what reporters are supposed to do. Someone came to the office claiming to have evidence of a cover-up. George Knapp took a look and began his investigation.

It led to the first news story about a place 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas called Area 51— even though the government for years after denied it even existed.

When the Berlin Wall fell, Knapp flew to Russia and with help from a government insider, got access to that government’s UFO files.

He’s investigated sightings. He knew long before the New York Times did in 2017 of the so-called "Tic Tac" video of UFOs captured in footage by U.S. Navy pilots.

And if people didn’t know about him before, they might now.

Netflix last month released a six-part series, Investigation Alien, that follows Knapp in his search.
