Righthaven and the Battle over Copyright Protection

Righthaven LLC is hanging on by life support, according to a writer for WIRED magazine.  The litigation company has been filing copyright infringement lawsuits since March of 2010, collecting thousands of dollars in what some call bullying tactics.  Now Righthaven is being sued and could soon face bankruptcy.  What have we learned about protecting copyright and whether Righthaven was doing something righteous or just looking for a quick buck.
