Assistant Secretary Tammy Duckworth

Tammy Duckworth was a Black Hawk pilot when Iraqi insurgents shot down her helicopter. She lost both legs, but that didn't stop her. She ran for a U.S. House of Representatives seat. She lost, but got widespread attention speaking at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. She's now Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. We talk to her about the issues that female veterans face, and what she's currently doing for veterans today.

She will be the keynote speaker at the 3rd Annual Nevada Women Veterans Summit. She will be speaking this Saturday at the Las Vegas Hilton at 9:30 a.m. The event is free.
