NV Energy Warns Of Scammers Impersonating Employees

NV Energy issued a warning about people impersonating employees of the company.

The company said the scammers are calling business and residential customers, making threats about cutting off their electric service, and demanding the customer pay immediately to keep it on.

The phone number might be shown as coming from NV Energy.

The company does not call customers to demand immediate payment for any reason. Customers who may be at risk of power disconnection will be given a 10-day notice on their bill and a 48-hour notice via U.S. mail.
