Nevada will join other western states to independently review the safety and effectiveness of any COVID-19 vaccine approved by the FDA, Governor Steve Sisolak’s office announced Tuesday.
The Western States Pact verification process will happen at the same time as the federal approval process, the announcement said.
The pact was announced last week by California Governor Gavin Newsome as a response to concerns that the federal approval process might be rushed for political reasons.
