SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah tourism official says visitation numbers and overall customers have recovered in some destinations after a steep decline as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Utah tourism and travel industries had experienced an annual growth rate higher than 5% before public health restrictions were implemented in March to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The pandemic has forced spending and employment in the industries to decline by 13 to 17% compared to this time last year.
