Las Vegas Ward 3 Councilwoman Olivia Diaz called for “proactive” efforts to support the community through the COVID-19 crisis.
She said at Wednesday’s City Council meeting that she understands the drive to get hospitality and tourism employees back to work, but the industry will struggle until potential visitors are reassured it’s safe.
Diaz urged her fellow council members and the mayor to seek out ways to help at the community level.
