A Nye County deputy is being charged with "unlawfully releasing" confidential information concerning child welfare services.
The county sheriff’s office released a video on its Facebook page Friday night saying 29-year-old Deputy Michalean Soprano gave his girlfriend “sensitive information regarding a child abuse investigation.”
Soprano turned himself in Friday after an arrest warrant was issued Thursday. He’s now on administrative leave while an investigation gets underway.
