Legal Fund Created For Gun Shop That Sold Firearm To Gilroy Shooter

A legal fund has been created for the gun store owner who sold the gun to the shooter in the recent Gilroy, California mass shooting.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports the owner of Big Mike’s Guns & Ammo posted on Facebook that he is facing multiple lawsuits from victims of the shooting.

A friend and customer then started a GoFundMe account for Michael Christopherson to help with “frivolous lawsuits.” It is unclear if any suits against the company or its owner have been filed or if they are just anticipating litigation.

Big Mike’s Guns & Ammo legally sold the firearm used in the Gilroy attack to 19-year-old shooter Santino William Legan.

In Nevada, the legal age to purchase a long run firearm is 18, whereas, in California, it is 21.
