A broad-based gun control measure rewritten last week is scheduled for a hearing in the state Assembly Wednesday.
The revised bill would ban bump stocks, add stricter laws on safe gun storage, and include a provision to take away guns from potentially dangerous people.
Advocates of the bill opted to not to include school safety provisions from another bill and will keep the two measures separate.
