The U.S. Postal Service's law enforcement division says mail was stolen from two post offices in Henderson on multiple days in April.
Postal Inspector Liz Davis says the thefts of trays of mail apparently were conducted early in the mornings of April 6, 8, and 15, and that while authorities don't know how much mail was taken it could be thousands of pieces.
Davis says the thefts happened after the mail was delivered from a central sorting plant and placed in plastic sorting areas in restricted outside areas before letter carriers arrived for their shifts at local post offices.
