Las Vegas City Council Ends City Manager Contract In Renegotiation Effort

The Las Vegas City Council voted Wednesday to terminate City Manager Scott Adams’s contract.

The council told Adams the decision would take effect in 90 days. Meanwhile, members will vote May 1 on a new contract.

Ward 6 Councilwoman Michele Fiore says she prompted the vote because rather than renewing Adams’s contract automatically, she wanted to add a performance review clause to the contract and give new council members a chance to have a say.

How is Las Vegas' healthcare system really doing, and what does it mean for you and your family? Desert Companion's Health Issue takes a deep dive into these questions and explores how heart-centered business leaders prove that doing good benefits the bottom line.
