Bernie Sanders Scheduled To Hold Rally On Saturday In Nevada

HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Bernie Sanders is scheduled to be in Nevada next weekend for the first time since launching his latest presidential campaign.

The senator from Vermont last visited the state in October as part of a nationwide effort to get out the vote ahead of a historic midterm election cycle.

Sanders is expected to hold a rally Saturday afternoon at Morrell Park in Henderson.

Organizers say the event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is encouraged.

The stop follows a series of rallies in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina to complete the Sanders campaign's first full swing through the early primary states.

Sanders unsuccessfully ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016.
