About 30 people may have gotten sick from visiting the Frog Pond Hot Springs near Gerlach in May.
The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is conducting an investigation after a group of campers became sick after their visit.
The hot springs sit on a private property but are a popular attraction at the edge of the Black Rock Desert near Reno.
