Las Vegas Police And Firefighters Cracking Down On Fireworks

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and city firefighters are getting ready for a fireworks crackdown.

Authorities are canvasing the city this weekend and are on the lookout for illegal fireworks.

They say they'll hand out fines of up to $1,000 to anyone caught with illegal fireworks or caught setting them off.

In Nevada's Clark County, fireworks that fly through the air are considered illegal.
