Reno, Clark County Poised To Proceed With Opioid Lawsuits

In spite of warnings from Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt, the City of Reno and Cark County are poised to proceed with lawsuits against opioid distributors and manufacturers.

The Nevada Independent reports both jurisdictions are holding hearings this week and might vote on whether to seek private law practices to put on retainer for the cases.

Laxalt’s office is involved in multi-state litigation and says separate legal action could undermine the state’s role in a potential larger settlement.
