Three Students Arrested, Officer Injured In Fight At Chaparral High

Three students were arrested and a police officer injured in a fight that broke out Thursday at Chaparral High School.

The officer suffered an abrasion to the chin and a twisted knee, and one of the students arrested also suffered a knee injury.

Police recovered a folding knife and marijuana from one of the students.

After a fist fight broke out, the officer was trying to take a student into custody when another student interfered, knocking the officer and the first student to the ground.

The marijuana and knife were confiscated, then a second fight broke out in the area leading to a third arrest.

The fights triggered a response from Clark County School District Police as well as Metro Police officers.
