Clark County’s election officials debuted a new system of Election Day voting Tuesday.
They’re calling it vote centers. Voters will be able to travel to any of the 160 vote centers across the county to cast their ballot instead of being required to go to a specifically assigned precinct.
It’s similar to the process in place for early voting. Governor Sandoval vetoed statewide measures on voting centers, saying that Nevada is one of the most accessible election systems in the country.

Nonetheless, Clark County is moving forward to implement the voting centers for the 2018 primary election. The county plans to have about 160 voting centers open for that Election day, in place of the 279 precincts.
