'Move Over' Law Expanded To Include NDOT Vehicles

Nevada drivers will now have to move over for more than just emergency vehicles, thanks to an Assembly Bill 17.

It’s an amendment to the “Move Over” law that mandates motorists slow down and move into another lane for emergency vehicles and now Nevada Department of Transportation vehicles that are approaching with flashing lights.

Freeway Service Patrol Vehicles are also included in the law. Drivers who violate the law can be charged with a misdemeanor. Nevada joins about 10 other states that also approved similar move over laws.
