Nevada Lawmakers Seek End Of Garlic, Alfalfa Advisory Boards

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Garlic and onion, alfalfa seed and organic crop advisory boards are getting chopped at the Nevada Legislature.

Members of the Assembly voted 36-4 on Monday to abolish the three state agricultural organizations.

Lawmakers say the groups never meet, are duplicative or just unnecessary.
