Storey County Sheriff Survives Recall Effort

Storey County Sheriff Gerald Antinoro will stay in office after winning a very narrow victory in a recall vote Tuesday, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.
The sheriff won his special recall election by 282 votes. A total of 1,484 votes were cast in the special election.
Recall supporters wanted him out of office after allegations of misconduct surfaced, including reports of sexual harassment, wrongful termination, ethical violations and budget problems.
