Las Vegas police say officers fatally shot an armed man suspected to be connected to several robberies in the area.
Officer Larry Hadfield says the man was driving a car believed to be tied to the crimes near the city's downtown Wednesday night. Officers tried to get the man driving to pull over but he instead fled.
Hadfield says the chase led to North Las Vegas, where officers confronted the man. Hadfield says the man had a handgun and officers shot him. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they're investigating the incident.
The identities of the man and the officer involved have not yet been released.
