The University of Nevada Las Vegas hopes Chris Beard can lead a turnaround for the Rebels like he did this season at Arkansas-Little Rock.
The Las Vegas Review Journal reports Beard agreed in principle Monday to be the school’s next basketball coach. Beard’s agent is scheduled to meet with UNLV officials Monday. Discussion of a five-year deal is expected.
UNLV’s athletic director said there was nothing new to report regarding a potential agreement as of yesterday afternoon.
