Ammon Bundy has withdrawn his request to be released from jail.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal and CNN report Bundy has decided to file the request at a later date.
Yesterday, he and his lawyers argued Bundy should be released from custody pending a trial regarding his armed occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge near Burns, Ore.

Court documents filed today, though, say Bundy is opting to stay behind bars to "gather further evidence of his statements and actions encouraging a peaceful protest and civil disobedience."
Prosecutors have argued Bundy should remain behind bars because he poses a threat to the community at large.
